ABOUT

WINDS & WALLS, previously an alternative post-hardcore indie-rock band from Queens, New York and New Jersey. It was created in 2010 and consisted of a songwriting brother-sister duo, Rosie Pacla (Vocalists) & Joey Pacla (Lead Guitarist), Mo Alamin (Rhythm guitarist), Evan Magid (drummer), & Nick Valente (Bass). During the summer of 2013 Winds & Walls recorded a demo EP of 5 tracks at Stadium Red but shortly after entered a hiatus.

The band name WINDS & WALLS, was originally the title of a song written by Rosie & was later thought by Joey to be better suited as the band name. Some musical influences of the band include, Incubus, Kings of Leon, Tides of Man, Pierce the Veil, & Sleeping with Sirens.

In December 2013 Rosie & Joey headed to Boonton, New Jersey & collaborated with songwriter/guitarist Omar Feliciano & drummer Lawrence Turco from the rock band The Phoenix Within for a revision & reinvention of the single, "Hindsight", which was revamped, recorded & produced by Rob Freeman at The Audio Pilot Studio (Gym Class Heroes, Hit the Lights).

In February 2014 Rosie, Joey, Omar & Evan travelled to Philadelphia, PA & worked with visionary director & producer Chris Newhard (Train, Valencia) on the music video for their single "Hindsight".

On March 2014 Rosie & Joey once again met up with drummer Lawrence Turco & entered the studio once more to work with Rob Freeman in the completion of their EP, "Third Rail".

WINDS & WALLS have performed at the Break Contest in Long Island, NY placing straight to the Finals from Round 1. They have also performed at the Dewey Beach Music Festival 2014 in Delaware and pioneered the first annual Elm City Music Festival in Connecticut. Other shows included in their Fall 2014 schedule include Mexicali and Fontana's (opening for Direct Divide). In October 2014, they released their second music video for an unreleased track, "Long Beach Island" directed by Chris Newhard and filmed in Cape May, NJ.

As the band entered 2015, they had a mini winter tour in the tri-state area, including opening for Hawthorne Heights in March 2015, in Allentown, PA and performing at the infamous, Webster Hall in NYC. During this time, the band recorded their second EP, "Still Lions" which was released in the beginning of July 2015, then re-released in January of 2016 to include a bonus track featuring a new sound. In January of 2016, they recorded their third music video for "My Eyes" and was premiered as a feature on Yahoo Music's Rising Artist page. Since they they have been featured in many blogs and reviews surrounding the second EP, "Still Lions". In March of 2016, a live performance video of "Pennies" was shot.

EP3, "Hollow Sessions", released in May 16th, 2016, is the acoustic/stripped EP of a few songs from the first two EPs.

During the writing the full album entitled, "Satellites", the band underwent many beautiful life changes. Between new marriages, babies, doctorates being earned, and members moving away & further from each other; the siblings, Rosie & Joey, continued with the writing, producing, and recording of "Satellites". Although the band currently consists of just the siblings, Winds & Walls will always be part of and would be nothing without all its previous members. And who knows, good chances for a live show having member re-appear =)
